Stok is a village nestled at the base of the Stok range with the Stok Kangri peak. The valley, home to Stok Chu River is a very green and fertile area.
It took almost two years to renovate the house and bring it back to its current state, retaining its original character with Pooja room and flag post marking the east and west sides of the house.
Its renovation idea was originally from the next-door old lady who originally came here as a young bride some 90 years ago in this ancestral house of the Lhoskya family.
The homestay gives you a 360-degree uninterrupted view of all the major attractions of Leh valley. Be it Stok Kangri, Stok Palace, Stok Buddha statue blessed by the holiness of Dalai Lama, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, South Pullu to Khardungla top, Sabu village, Thiksey monastery and hill behind the house which lights up, bright and warm with butter lamps every Losar. Stok house is a place where you see Wordsworth's Daffodils and every other nature-related poem coming alive.
