CWG, Surajkund, Harayana – Jungle Fowl Camp 2010

Sh. Bhupender Singh Hooda, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, inaugurated the Jungle Fowl Camp at Surajkund, Faridabad, in the presence of Kumari Selja, Hon’ble Union Minister for Tourism and Housing & Poverty Alleviation, Government of India and Sh. Om Parkash Jain, Minister of Tourism, Transport, Civil Aviation and Hospitality, Haryana.
Also present were Sh. Maha Singh, Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary Tourism, Haryana, along with other senior officers of Haryana Tourism and the District Administration, Faridabad.
A license for setting up and running these camps has been granted to Aagman India Travel & Living Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries toured the camp area to inspect the facilities created for tourists. Speaking to the press, the Union Tourism Minister informed that the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has provided Rs. 361.24 lakhs for the development of the camping site at Surajkund, Faridabad and Rs.320.63 lakhs for the development of the camping site at Dundahera, Gurgaon.
Haryana Tourism is fully prepared to facilitate the organization of the Commonwealth Games by arranging for the availability of about 8,000 room in the NCR. The rooms and the other infrastructure of the tourist complexes of Haryana Tourism have also been upgraded and modernized. The Gurgaon Tourism Fair and Gurgaon Shopping Festival are being organized from 27th September 2010, to provide visitors to the Commonwealth Games with an exquisite shopping experience under one roof.
